Motivational speaker and Senior Director of Staffing at Qualcomm, Ed Hidalgo, spoke to the students about the importance Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and discussed Qualcomm's Thinkabit Lab.  The Lab is "a creative meeting space where imagination, engineering and art come together to provide students a hands-on experience working with technology," according to the lab's Twitter profile.

After Mr. Hildalgo's speech, students were free to visit with exhibitors in the school's gym.  They had the opportunity to meet with Project Cornerstone, bankers, the highway patrol and border patrol, a dentist, various colleges, paramedics, firemen, helicopter pilots, many other industry representatives.

The Project Cornerstone booth was a success.  Students asked questions about the local construction aggregates industry, careers and educational requirements for various jobs.  They enjoyed the hands-on booth where they could touch construction aggregates and hold pieces of concrete and asphalt.
