Project Cornerstone Member Contributes to Local East County Posse Project

Project Cornerstone member, Hanson Aggregates, is well versed in philanthropic endeavors.  The company recently contributed materials to a project organized by the East County Posse, a local non-profit charity dedicated to helping fellow East San Diego County residents in need.

The East County Posse is in the process of building a room addition for the Lim family in Lakeside, CA.  The family has a severely disabled child that is unable to navigate the stairs to access the bedrooms located on the second floor.  As a result, one of the parents has had to sleep in the living room with the child to ensure its safety at night.  The family has done everything within their capabilities to satisfy the needs of their child, and is coping with their situation as best as they can.

The Posse is addressing the family’s needs by building a bedroom on the ground floor of their home.  The room addition is built at no cost to the family and is supported by Posse member donations and the generous donations from several sponsors outside of the organization.

A San Diego company, Hanson Aggregates, contributed the concrete for building the room addition’s foundation.

"Thank you for the opportunity to assist with this worthwhile community project,” said Ralph Reagan, Hanson's Senior Outside Sales Rep.

The company operates six ready mixed concrete plants throughout San Diego County and has been active in the community.

The East County Posse has nearly 100 members with many of them working in the construction industry.  Their skills and networks are often used in building projects in the East County.  To learn more about the organization, visit www.eastcountyposse.com.
